Seat Track Sound Quality in an Automotive Production Line
Working in partnership with machine builder Sci-Mech Technical Services, Milton Ontario, Signal.X has just deployed an innovative system for detecting automotive seat track faults. Signal.X provided application specific NVH expertise for autonomous seat track audio test bays destined for high volume OEM production. In our solution, hybrid subjective/objective metrics appropriate to the production environment offer root cause fault detection as well as industry standard subjective metrics such as Loudness in Sones, pseudo time varying loudness, RPM based metrics, and proprietary measures of random and periodic impulsiveness.
